My Week in Review

Hiya guys! I know it's been ridiculously long since I've blogged but what better time to reinvigorate than now?

It's summer and I'm so excited! I've started this summer with a bang - I've been working with the Cain Center at LSU to create a curriculum to be offered at Louisiana middle schools for high school credit. This is a survey course specifically designed to introduce students to four main areas of STEM career pathways: Computational Thinking, Pre-Engineering, Digital Design, and Biomedical Sciences.

I've been spending these first couple of weeks writing the Digital design module because that's my area of strength.

It's been so much fun! I'll make sure to post the overview when I'm done, but here is a sample of one of the slideshows I've made for Audio Production using an online tool called Audiotool.

I've also made this EDP poster. Grab a copy for yourself by clicking HERE

This week also brought three days of downpours. THREE DAYS. It was ridiculous.

And all three days the courtyard looked like this within minutes. I had to keep a very close eye on things.

Chip wasn't happy. He guarded his hedgehog toy as if the rain and thunder wanted to take it away.

This week we made mini meatball subs using a very good low carb bread recipe from Maria Mind Body Health.  Used some three cheese marinara from Trader Joe's and easy homemade meatballs, topped with mozzarella and provolone and it was delicious!

I also made some cheesy cauli mash and hot sausage. Easy peasy and a terrific midweek meal.

This is Nala. She belongs to my sister's family. She was 14 years old and died this week of Bone Cancer. She has been suffering for a very long time and I'm glad she is now in that big dog park in the sky playing around with tennis balls and hopefully no cats.

This week I also started planning for next year! And buying clipart. Just look at this adorable unicorn clipart from Krista Wallden!! So precious.

And I bought the Pina Colada Pineapple collection from Schoolgirl Style. I already was dreaming of pink and pineapple for my classroom this coming year and absolutely LOVED that this one was already made!!! I will be making some corresponding Digital posters specific to my classes but this set already had everything!

So now I'm on the lookout all things pink and pineapple this summer.

I'm also working on updating my planning bundle for the new year. It will be updated by July 1st.

That's all for now! Have a great weekend!
