Hi friends!! It's Tell All Tuesday with Jayme from Teach Talk Inspire and Diana from My Day in K!!

Today's topic is life as a reality show. I don't watch that much of reality TV, but I do find these shows really interesting and highly addictive!! Mine is super easy:

Yes, I am a huge geek. I love anything fantastical, science fiction-y, out of this world stuff!! But for good reason!
I watch for the plot lines. Really good plots, guys.

Anything done by Marvel, Supernatural, Grimm, Once Upon a Time, Arrow, The Flash, etc. Yeah Carly and I are glued to all that!! Ant-Man comes out Thursday night, and we've had tickets for two weeks.

We've been to Comic Cons. Here is the latest we went to in New Orleans.

We got to meet Brett Dalton who plays Grant Ward from Agents of SHIELD.

Now I don't watch this show, but Carly's seen a few episodes.

Love me some Castiel.

Last year, they were filming Fantastic Four here in Baton Rouge and we went to Costco like every day hoping to catch some filming. The movie studio is literally next door to Costco. But we never saw any of them :( and they never called for extras here that I heard.

ANYway - my reality show would totally follow me around while we did all this geek stuff and plus I would actually get to go do all this geek stuff.

People with reality TV shows get to do a lot of stuff. And meet a lot of people.

When I need gifts for people, I crochet them geek stuff. Case in point:

Well hello Chris Evans.

And I vote next year the TpT Conference be called:
'Cuz I'm pretty sure this is what happened in Vegas last week and I missed it.

So that's all! I want someone to follow me around with a camera while I do all my geek stuff. Yeah, that's probably boring to lots of people! But I would have a BLAST.

Thanks for reading!

Can you believe that it is already the first Friday in July?? Unbelievable!! But it's also time for Five For Friday with Doodle Bugs Teaching. Awesome Sauce!!

Guys, I have been LOVING Whole 30. It's amazing the amount of energy I have from eating whole, fresh foods. I've done so much this week! Here are some snap shots of my meals this week:
Spinach Frittata, Tuna Salad, Spaghetti Squash and Meat Sauce

Leftover spinach frittata, Tuna Salad stuffed red bell peppers with ranch dressing, grilled chicken, potatoes, cabbage slaw

Mexican Tuna "Tacos" with leftover slaw, Roasted sweet potato topped with pulled pork carnitas and avocado mayo, bunless hamburger topped with mushrooms, onions on a bed of spinach with roasted red pepper mayo
Mexican tuna on romaine, "fried" plantains with pulled pork topped with a "fried" egg, oven roasted salmon with red pepper sauce sauteed vegetables
And these potatoes??? Guys. Guys. GUYS!!! DELICIOUS. All the ingredients were whole, fresh food made by me, including all the sauces and mayos. I would list out all the recipes, but it's a lot. If you would like one, just let me know!

I am definitely doing Twitter in the classroom this year!! Last night I listened in on a Twitter Chat with Greg and Kayla and I am so psyched to get my kiddos tweeting! Got lots of ideas on how to intro and support parents, too.
Tweet Deck!

I did a lot on the computer this week. I've been working on learning Adobe Illustrator so that I can branch out and make my own clipart. I've started with just a few simple things:
 from drawing to digital!

Okay, so I'm not the BEST drawer, but I think it came out so cute!! I'm a FAR WAYS AWAY from making anything professional, but it is nice to know that I can create something if I can't find it anywhere.

Did you know that there are only 63 days until College Football????? Geaux Tigers!!
Our move brought us literally to the edge of the LSU Campus. I can see Tiger Stadium. So we took advantage of living practically on campus and visited Mike at his habitat. Yeah, this tiger lives better than I do.

I mean, just look at that habitat!

They were also filming The Magnificent Seven with Chris Pratt (and Ethan Hawke, Matt Bomer, Denzel Washington, among others) on campus and around town so the roads were blocked, and yet I still didn't see any stars. Like, at all.
And how do you get to be an extra in these movies because I'm totally there??

And finally, I went blonde!! My hair was in serious need of a root touch up. And a hair cut, but one thing at a time people. My original hair color is a dirty blonde, which I can't stand, so I keep it dyed.
I also learned that I am a terrible selfie taker.
There's my stack of school stuff in the background.

I've got lots to do this weekend and next week and then before you know it, it'll be August. I start school August 4 btw.

How was your week??

Happy Tuesday everyone!! This week's topic:
I am excited to share with you my favorite summer flashback - when we went to Hawaii in 2007!!

Look how BEAUTIFUL it is!! That first picture is of Carly Summer when she was only 6!! The second is a pic of Diamondhead Volcano on Oahu. We stayed at the Wyndham Waikiki Beachwalk.

This was our view from the balcony.

It was a family vacation because my cousin Kathleen graduated from high school and wanted to go to Hawaii. Well, OKAY!! It was mom, dad, me, Carly, my sister and bro-in-law, aunt, uncle, cousin, grandmother. Here are some family candids:

It was such an amazing trip!!

Turtle Bay where they were filming Lost!! We didn't see any stars though.

Beautiful sunset!

We went snorkeling in Hanuama Bay and saw sea turtles!!

We also visited Pearl Harbor. It was a very sobering experience.

You arrive at the memorial early and stand in the long, long line hoping to get a ticket for the day.

When you step onto the memorial, it's silence. There literally isn't one single sound save the gentle lapping of water around the memorial. You walk down and peer over the edges and see the Arizona right below the surface, like you could just take a step in and touch it.

You can still see the oil leaking on the surface.

I am still amazed at the respectfulness shown on the memorial. Even though Carly was only six, she still remembers how in awe she was. I am so glad we were able to experience this and I will definitely visit again when we go back.

Had some fun playing indoor 3D Mini Golf.

And we learned all about lei making.

Why yes, we did have matching outfits! I made them myself.

Hula lessons!

I would go back in a heartbeat!!

Well that's it! I do hope you link up with us because I would love to see your favorite summer flashbacks!
Thanks for reading!
