Week in Review: I Got So Much Done This Week!!!

This week has been a whirlwind. It has seemed sooooooo long! And having the Fourth of July in the middle of the week made it feel like Monday came twice. But I did get a lot done. And better yet, found out I can get into my classroom next week!!

To start the week, my summer institute ended Tuesday. We finished writing all the curriculum and turned it in to be checked over and approved! There's still some little things left to do, but we are at least ready to start the year off right.
Finished the four CRLGs for the year and this class. I'll be teaching Journey to Careers: STEM Pathways edition. This course is designed to introduce middle school students to four pathways of STEM disciplines and the different careers available to those with skills.

You can check out the website HERE - Please bear in mind that this is a work in progress and it is no where near finished!!

I also started my classroom STEM alphabet. I'll be creating this in many themes to share in my TpT store!

Carly came back from Florida on Tuesday. She brought me back this mug from Rollins College. She really enjoyed visiting and really hasn't stopped talking about it. She might be moving to Florida this time next summer....

Fourth of July was a blast! I went and hung out with some really good friends of mine in Denham. We had some beer, enjoyed some Rum House Punch, and then ended on a high note with fireworks on the river!!

I've known Scott and James for about 20 years now. We are getting up there in years, but we still know how to have a good time!

Chip didn't even freak out with the fireworks.

Have you played around with Arduinos/Microcontrollers? They are so fun! Kiddos in two of my courses this year will get to experiment around with them. It's exciting!

Carly and I woke up Friday and Saturday not feeling too well. I think exhaustion is catching up with me. So to make ourselves feel better, I made this Texas Sheet Cake from All Day I Dream About Food. Sooooo good and sugar free and low carb.

I bought the Pina Colada Pineapple collection from School Girl Style. I can't even begin with how excited I am to decorate with this theme. It is perfectly adorable. So I've been printing out a bunch of stuff.

I've also made my welcome letter for my parents and students. It's nice and bright and colorful matching my classroom theme.  I'll be making an editable version for my store later.

I also got promoted to Site Facilitator this week. I'll be in charge of the tech at my school and making sure everyone does what they are supposed to do with tech. We had our welcome meeting Thursday.

And finally I got to work on my summer to do list. It's been a blast the longer it gets. I can't believe how fast this side of summer is moving. I'm so sad.
But can we talk about how cute those school pineapples are??? Krista Wallden at Creative Clips is a genius.

You can grab a copy of this list HERE.

Have a great next week!!
